Photo Themes
Over the many years I have periodically photographed pictures by theme. Some were done as part of various camera clubs and groups and some just on my one. I've published them here.
Each topic will have a brief description and show one photo. When you click on that photo a slide show will appear with the representative photos of the topic.
Enjoy!

I don't know anyone who isn't fascinated by rainbows so I've collected some of my favorites. Some of those I like best were photographed off our balcony.
I titled this Landscapes although it includes some water/sea as well. I'll do a separate one on Seascapes and Glaciers

North Pond in Lincoln Park changes with the seasons. These are all taken from the north end of the pond in front of the old ice skating warming house now a 5 star restaurant (North Pond Restaurant).
So far, I have been able to photograph the setting in the Fall and the Winter. Spring is always a challenge in Chicago as it can be rather short going from very chilly (and maybe even snow) to HOT. The trees often have almost no time to show their budding but become full almost instantly. Summer should be easier but is often just hot, buggy, and boring. We shall see.
Lighthouses and such. This series started with the Lighthouse at Pigeon Point on the Monterey peninsula. I became fascinated by the setting and over the years whenever driving on California 1 to/from Carmel have stopped to take a photo or 2, The only problem I have is that I have never been able to photograph it at sunrise or sunset.
